MGM Resorts Art & Culture is the company arm supporting the arts and curating collections for its global resorts

Tarissa Tiberti is the Executive Director of MGM Resorts Art & Culture, MGM Resorts International’s multifaceted arts program, which focuses on commissioning, collecting, supporting and presenting public art. Tiberti oversees a collection of over 800 works of modern and contemporary art across MGM Resorts’ destinations globally. This includes the MGM Resorts Fine Art Collection, the ARIA Fine Art Collection, and the MGM National Harbor Heritage Collection. Also under her purview is Las Vegas’ premier exhibition space, Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA).

Under Tiberti’s leadership, MGM Resorts Art & Culture continues to expand its programming and partnerships both locally and globally. During her tenure at the company which began in 2007, Tiberti has organized collaborations with a number of world-renowned institutions, galleries and brands. For example, MGM Resorts Art & Culture collaborated with the Art Production Fund, New York, and the Nevada Museum of Art, Reno, to present Ugo Rondinone’s colorful, land-based art installation Seven Magic Mountains (May 2016-May 2018) located in the Nevada desert. ARIA Resort & Casino is the title sponsor of the public artwork. MGM Resorts Art & Culture was also the first official partner for the Public sector of Art Basel in Miami Beach (Dec 2016) and now serves as an Associate Partner of Art Basel globally, including Art Basel in Miami Beach, Art Basel in Hong Kong, and Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland.

Tiberti previously served from 2007 to 2009 as the Director of Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art and was later promoted to Executive Director in 2010. During this time, she partnered with such prestigious institutions as the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) and the Warhol Musuem to secure world-class exhibitions at the gallery. Tiberti also managed the curation and installation of exhibitions including Town and Country: From Degas to Picasso (2016), Picasso: Creatures and Creativity (2015), Fabergé Revealed (2014), Warhol Out West (2013), Figuratively Speaking: A Survey of the Human Form (2010), and Classic Contemporary: Lichtenstein, Warhol and Friends (2009).

Tiberti holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield, Michigan. After moving to New York City in 2003, Tiberti was hired as Gallery Assistant for the Franklin Parrasch Gallery, where she worked for 4 years before returning to her hometown of Las Vegas. Tiberti also has held positions at the Denver Museum of Art as an Assistant Educator and Gallery Preparator.
