Robert Read is Head of Art and Private Clients at Hiscox where he has been involved in the sector since 1992, prior to that he work as a fine art insurance broker with Crowley Colosso Ltd and before that as a management consultant.  He studied Philosophy at University College, London and is also a failed artist.

He has a particular interest in the online art market and has been instrumental in the production of the Hiscox annual online art market report.
