Mona Hauser is the owner of XVA Art Hotel, Gallery and Cafe.  Born in the USA, she has cultivated a lifelong interest in art and design. A graduate of Washington State University with a combined degree in art and chemistry, she worked as a scientific glassblower in Washington for seven years. She lived between New York and Florida from 1986 to
1993 before moving to Dubai and England in 1993 – 2003.

Mona opened XVA in 2003 to fill a void in Dubai. She envisioned XVA as a universe that matched her own mindset; a place where people could come and spend the day, even sleep over. Inspired by the tradition of the old salons, she set out to create an art-oriented salon; a forum for artists in Dubai.

Since 2003, XVA, continues to raise the profile its artists and the historical Al Fahidi Neighborhood in Dubai through a rich cultural program. XVA organized the first CREEK CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR. Renamed AL BASTAKIYA ART FAIR in 2008-2010. BAF became SIKA Art Fair in 2011.  XVA Gallery has participated in numerous International Art Fairs including Art Basel Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi Art.

Mona was a Moderator at Dubai International Design Forum (2007), was a speaker at the Conference of Artists in Residence Program, Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development (2017). As Hotel Owner Mona has received numerous awards, including Best Boutique Hotel in the Middle East (2016 & 2017).
