Marcello Cabezas is a highly respected and National Award Winning Producer, Culture Curator, City Builder, Placemaker and HuffPo Canada Contributor. He is the recipient of the prestigious Arnold Edinborough Award for his contribution to national arts & culture development and the Toronto Star has called him "...a culture guru...the show business jack-of-all-trades, master of most." Chosen as one of the national Canadian Grey Goose Notables, he was a member of the Executiviva! Ambassador Program for the TO2015 Pan/Parapan Games. He was also the co-chair and member of the steering committee that explored a bid for Expo Canada 2025. In recent years, he has been seen as a leader in the placemaking discipline galvanizing his relationships with mavens in the food & beverage, arts & culture, wellness, play, technology and nightlife verticals. He has authored transformative interim use and master plan way forwards for leading developers such as First Gulf (interim use and East Harbour), Streetcar Developments, the restoration of The Paradise Theatre (Summer 2018), and the shipping container hub stackt (late spring 2018). His methodology and insights have translated to future work around the world and he actively contributes to creative economy policy for three levels of government in Canada.
