A creative ‘think tank’ to exchange ideas, information and strategies about the future of how we experience and shape the art scene.

Today, the world we live in is significantly smaller than that of yesterday. Technology has made it possible to bridge global communities through digital platforms and the increase of communication has led to the hybridization of industries. One entrepreneur and forward-thinking connector has made use of this social evolution to bring together some of the world’s top leaders and thinkers through the common link of art. Visionary Rachel Rekkab, founder of Artem Holdings, conceived the 4-day conference of the inaugural edition of UNFOLD Art XChange as a type of creative ‘think tank’ to exchange ideas, information and strategies about the future of how we experience and shape the art scene.

Held at the luxurious Five Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from March 19-22 2018, the inaugural edition of UNFOLD Art XChange was divided in two interconnected thematic clusters. Art Talks I: Art, Real Estate and the Built Environment took place on the 19-20 March 2018 and Art Talks II: Evolving Cultures, Developing Collections took place on the 21-22 March 2018.

With a focus on the emerging art scenes across and beyond the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) including Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Asia, UNFOLD Art XChange hosted over 150 of the most important global players in the art, hospitality, design, architecture and finance environment as well as private and public museums and corporate collectors.
